The Roma community in England is growing and increasingly well established. Many Roma families have their roots in Romania and came to the UK over the past two decades in search of safety, dignity, and better opportunities for their children.
Romanian is one of the main languages spoken among Roma people in England.
Most families migrated after the 2000s, following the expansion of the European Union, driven by poverty, discrimination, and social exclusion in their home country.Despite their resilience and strong community spirit, many continue to face barriers that prevent full participation in British society.
